Question by FullofQs: Detox Diet?
My co-workers are going on a detox diet where they are eating only fruits and veggies for three days?then regular dieting for two, so on and so forth. No meat at all and drinking water/pure veggie or fruit juice.
Is this safe?? I?m thinking about going on it with them cause I certainly could lose some weight?I?m just not sure how I feel about shocking my body like that! Please let me know your opinions/experiences with detox diet or any diet that may have worked for you! Thanks!

Yes it is safe for that length of time. However, i would not consider cutting protein out for long periods of time. It is true that red meat is not good for you, but eating healthy proteins like egg whites, chicken, turkey, soy, and nuts is a good way to give your body what it needs.
