Florida ends Texas A&M's 12-game unbeaten streak

[SEC] No. 17 Florida handed No. 8 Texas A&M its first loss in SEC play when the Gators rallied to beat the Aggies, 2-1, at Ellis Field on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, Texas A&M had its 12-game unbeaten string, the second longest in school history, snapped.

Texas A&M scored in the 22nd minute when Shea Groom scored on a header off a corner kick.

Florida took advantage of a foul just outside the penalty box to register the equalizer on Jo Dragotta's free kick in the 30th minute.

The Gators claimed the lead later in the first half on Notre Dame transfer Adriana Leon's goal from 15 yards out.

"My hat?s off to Florida," said A&M coach G Guerreri. "They played fantastic. The goals that they scored were well conceived and well finished."

-- Sophomore Abi Raymer and senior Taiwo Adeshigbin scored as No. 24 Missouri posted a 2-0 win over Mississippi State Sunday afternoon at Walton Stadium. The loss left the Bulldogs with a 0-7-1 record in conference play after going 7-0-0 in non-conference action.
